Refreshing!

Today was basically a refreshing day. Hey, I got up on time and spent some time with Him; honestly, that's the best way to start the day, no matter what Folger's says! But really, I usually do my quiet times at night, but this brought on some better understanding...just the deliberate act of focusing on Him at the beginning of the day He gave me taught me something.
There are always some times that God allows in our lives that do not make sense. Right now is one of those times, and although I have committed to spend time with Him daily, I still find that I feel distant from my personal Saviour. Also, my extended family is going through some slightly difficult times, and it is hard...He just wants me to trust Him more, and not to live a self-centered life, but a Christ-centered life.
On an aside, I went to half of a Shane & Shane concert this evening. I had to leave early because of my studies; can't fail that AP Econ test tomorrow! But they are so good; the harmonies are so tight and the praises rang for God tonight, that's for sure. The song that caught me: (it's a Psalm) was the "Righteous and Slow to Anger" one. Wow...that'll wake you up.
God is so good and so faithful. If only I could be as faithful to Him as He is to me; that's the real beauty of it all, I guess though, His grace and mercy abound.
Pray that I may declare Him fearlessly, as I should (Ephesians...)!

That's awesome. Keep reading and digging in. The more you learn and know about God, the closer to Him, you become.
I'm proud of you.
