Ending Performance

Wow. Our last marching band performance was completed on Saturday at Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina. It was our most outstanding performance of the whole season, which is what any band would wish for the 5A State Championships! But it still hurt a little, because although we improved our level of performance, we did not place anywhere near finals. But we did our best, and I guess that's all that matters. God provided beautiful, and actually somewhat warm, weather for Saturday as well.

As this season is drawing to a close, it is a bittersweet time for those of us who are seniors; i.e. drum majors, guard captains, section leaders... It is also an intense time for me, because I know that this is some of the last days that I will spend with many of the guard girls, whom I have been praying for since the beginning of the season. God has put on my heart the intensity of the spiritual warfare that looms in our schools each day and how we, as Christ's ambassadors, need to be ready to do His work.

Please pray for the girls that God is allowing me to minister to and for the ones that already know Him, that they would join in spreading the good news. Pray that the Holy Spirit would be at work in their hearts and that they would see Him clearly when God's timing arrives. May His will alone be done
