Tonight at church, I learned about going deeper into the heart of God. This was (a version) of the visual we were given. As we delve deeper into the heart of God and the love of Christ, we are inevitably faced with trials and opposition, as cleverly displayed here. One thing that struck me is that we can face these trials with JOY, no matter what, because we are in love with the one and only Everlasting God!
On another plane here, as we "go deeper" with Christ, we have to give up more of ourselves (there isn't room for us!) because as Christians we die to ourselves daily. At least we are supposed to. I am thankful that God is patient with me in this area and that He loves me no matter what. But this love-->it's what draws me deeper.
"Take me deeper still so I can know the bottom of your heart
Deeper still so I can know your will
Deeper still so I can know we'll never be apart
And when I get there...
Take me DEEPER STILL"
