The "Foolishness" of God

This has got to be quick, because I have a paper due for AP English on Wednesday and a Calculus Test Wednesday also and an explication to do tomorrow which I must prepare for sometime before tomorrow.
Today Greg Wilton preached on the "foolishness" of God; rather, how the world views Christians as foolish because they completely do not understand. It's really quite a concept to think about, and really reassuring when thinking of John 15:18 (the world is likely to hate us as disciples of Christ...)
Discipleship was really quite warm tonight. No, not as far as temperature, but really inviting. We had a guest "mom" and she is such a delieght to be around. The discussion was wonderful as well, with everyone contributing and so forth. We learned about John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that he would lay His life down for His friends." That means giving your life away in the form of encouragement, devotion to Him, and the like. Think about it.
So, I tutored this afternoon, pre-algebra. Not to bad, and Molly is really improving in her mathematical capabilities and perceptions. Praise the Lord! She really is a sweet and deserving girl.
There is someone who really needs our prayer. He is in such a state of distance from the Lord and is searching, despite coming to church and all. He is really a good guy at heart, but the Lord has put such a burden on my heart for Him because of what he's going through. Please pray that God would allow Him to be exposed to Christ's love rather than the snares of the world. It makes me cry because of what he is going through, and I really can do nothing but pray. God is teaching me to be DEPENDENT on Him, because I can do nothing to control this situation. My heart is so broken every time I think of this guy, and I literally pray for him every time I think of him.
Anyway, today was nice and sunny, although somewhat chilly. Praise God that football season, for SHS Vikings, is over and that no more band performances will be required! We would freeze our little rear ends off!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow...
