Anyways, so-Security in Christ. If He takes away those things we cling to other than Him, will we be okay? We might "suffer" or "whine" for a little while, but in the end we grow stronger and we learn how to CLING TO JESUS AND LIVE. It kind of demands that we put our priorities in order, too. Interestingly enough.
I really believe that He does this. I know He has done it in my life. And oddly enough, sometimes He chooses to give some of those blessings back to us once we've "learned our lesson." And how much sweeter they are.
Have you ever had someone give you a WEIRD look, just because you are enjoying life? (I know that some of you have ;-)) But really because of the joy that you have in Christ. I've had two professors do that to me this week. One outright asked. The other one just kept looking at me like "there's just something you've got..." I do. It's Christ. And His salvation and hope. The message and the love of Christ are so intruiging (sp?) and when He is in us and we look to His face, we are radiant!!!!
Ps. 34:5
"Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."
One thing I came across when going through a box of cards on Sunday night was a card someone had put in my box while in KY last year.
"Your good days are never so good that you don't need God's grace, and your bad days are never so bad that you aren't within reach of God's grace. Be thankful!"
I don't know where that came from, but think about it. We can rejoice in bad moments. Or we can't. It's our choice. But through His strength we can. We just have to take Him up on it.
Stand in awe. He is AMAZING. (Habakkuk 3:2)
He is the famous one. Great is His name in all the earth!!!
I can't wait to see what He is going to teach me today.
Jesus' identity is inclusive of His Passion and Resurrection. That's why even the disciples didn't know who he was completely. (See the gospel of Mark.) Interesting concept. Hope my NT professor agrees. :)
