From Luke 1:77-79~
"To give to His people the knowledge of salvation By the forgiveness of their sins, Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us, TO SHINE UPON THOSE WHO SIT IN DARKNESS AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH..."
It's such a challenge to let Christ shine through us to SHINE upon those who sit in the darkness and the shadow of death. I talked to a girl this week that is dwelling in darkness, she is so lost. But she rejects the gospel. Guys, spiritual warfare was never more real to me than yesterday when she was challenging everything that I stand for in Christ Jesus. But God was with me, talk about taking refuge in Jesus! Although she was not mean, I could feel the spiritual warfare raging because light and dark cannot co-exist. I was actually physically trembling because the evil was present. But we are called to cling to Jesus, because it is His fight, not ours; the Holy Spirit was definetly at work, but Michele denied this. Never have been so shaken by anything, ever, because the war was raging, and I was shaking. God is real, and was speaking through me, because I can hardly remember half of what I said or where I came up with this stuff; mainly because it wasn't "me" speaking to Michele. God's at work daily. Share with someone today.
I am going to Charleston on Friday with a good friend, and am so excited due to the fact that I have NEVER been. Good experiences await!
English has been such a wonderful class lately, my teacher is THE BEST. He really is a cool person, very humorous, with a great humor about himself as well. God has been teaching me much more in this class than english, because many of our chosen assignments have Jesus shining through them: like Flannery O'Connor's "A Good Man is Hard to Find," and "Parker's Back." Wow did O'Connor mean to share the Good News!!!
It has also given me good changes to solidify my beliefs in writing through interpriting what she has to say through her eccentric stories.
Peace in Christ.
